St. Aloysius students, parents, teachers and staff enjoyed another fantastic field day this May. Even a quick rain shower could not put a damper on the festivities.
The day’s activities started at Pellham Bay Park, where the large field and track provided numerous activities for the children. They enjoyed volleyball and kickball, an obstacle course, team-building activities and track competition, including relay races, the long jump and more. The Park activities ended with an exciting tug-of-war between the faculty and the students (the faculty won!).
Once they returned to St. Aloysius, the children enjoyed a Spirit Day block party in the afternoon. They danced to music by DJ Mario, played on inflatables, competed in volleyball, enjoyed arcade games, made sand art and much more. Everyone enjoyed the barbecue of hamburgers and hotdogs, along with the snow cones and cotton candy after the meal.
Special thanks go to the many parents who organized the Field Day activities and spent the day with the children. A group of volunteers from Murphy & McGonigle provided invaluable assistance throughout the day, both at the Park and at St. Aloysius. We could not have done it without you!
